Tuesday Review: PraiseMoves
March 4, 2008 at 5:16 pm | In K's Posts, Tuesday Reviews | 2 CommentsHomekeeping Heart is now hosting a Tuesday Review every week, and I thought I’d join in today.
If you’re looking for a wonderful exercise program, I wholeheartedly recommend PraiseMoves. PraiseMoves is a Christian alternative to yoga. Laurette Willis, the founder of PraiseMoves, was heavily involved in yoga and other New Age activities before she became a Christian. After coming to Christ and giving up yoga, she used her knowledge of exercise to design the PraiseMoves DVD.
PraiseMoves is the most pleasant exercise program I have ever seen. Scripture is repeated throughout the workout, and the postures or positions for stretching are modeled after Biblical concepts (i.e. The Rainbow, The Prayer Warrior, Mount Zion, etc.). The women who workout on the DVD are always dressed in modest, loose fitting clothing, and hymns are played during the whole workout.
If you want an exercise program that stretches you physically as well as spiritually, give PraiseMoves a try. And if you’d like to see more Tuesday Reviews, go to Homekeeping Heart.
“For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.”
