Princesses in Disguise Apron Swap!
June 30, 2008 at 3:25 pm | In Craft Projects, K's Posts | 3 CommentsOur mom participated in an apron swap over at A Feathered Nest a few months ago and we thought it’d be fun to host one here. Summer is our favorite time to do homemaking projects!
Here’s the deal: If you would like to participate, e-mail us with your full name, mailing address, e-mail address, blog URL (if you have one), if you’d be willing to ship internationally or not, and your color preferences (your favorite, any you just don’t care for, etc.). We will not share your information with anyone except your swap partner. Giving your blog address allows the person making your apron to read more about you and get a feel for what style and colors you might like.
July 13th (two weeks from now) is the deadline for signing up. Sometime after that, we will randomly assign partners to everyone and e-mail you with your partner’s information. You will then have until the deadline of August 30th to make the apron and get it to your partner. If you’d like, you may include a recipe or two with your apron. Note: You will not be making an apron for the same person who will be making one for you. This provides the opportunity for you to make two new friends! I suggest you buy delivery confirmation when you mail it in order to keep track of any “lost” aprons. When you have mailed your apron, email us and let us know so we can check you off the list.
The only rule: The apron must be handmade by you. Be creative. You may put pockets, embellishments, whatever you would like. There are several free patterns here. If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to e-mail us! This is going to be a lot of fun!
***Update: Please feel free to copy & paste our button onto your blog/website to spread the word. It should link back to us (Please let us know if it doesn’t work!).

S here is the optimist quote.
“The modern philosopher had told me again and again that I was in the right place, and I had still felt depressed even in acquiescence. But I had heard [from Christ] that I was in the wrong place, and my soul sang for joy, like a bird in spring. ”
G.K. Chesterton
PS I know this is horribly out of place, but I commented at least.
