Princesses in Disguise

I’d like to apologize for our absence from the blogosphere this week, and blame it on a combination of busyness, birthdays, and the dreaded writer’s block.    Now that that’s out of the way, I’m going to catch us all up to speed with these Random Bits Of Information and Random Pictures to go with them.

*Our state’s primary voting was this week, and I made sure both my parents voted.  I’m more-than-slightly bummed that I can’t vote this year.  Get this – I’m turning 18 two months after the election.  Isn’t that sad?

*My birthday was on Thursday, and S’s is tomorrow.  Having our birthdays three days (plus two years) apart makes for a sort of mini-vacation, which we are enjoying.  Yesterday, our grandparents came and brought us the traditional Carvel ice cream cake and gifts of sewing baskets and a cookbook.  How appropriate!

  *Last night, we went to our favorite scrapbooking store for a Girl’s Night Out.  We basically scrapped (until we ran out of pictures), ate, talked, and laughed.  We hadn’t been since baby C was born, so it was interesting with her along.  Mom used the Ergo Baby Carrier to keep her hands free and the baby eventually fell asleep.

*I’ve been doing a lot more driving lately.  I’ve found it to be stressful at times, especially when other vehicles pass me left and right like I’m drunk or something.  Thus, my wise mother felt the need to order this

from some friends of ours who have a sign business.  Go ahead and laugh…

*Yesterday was Friday, which means today is Saturday, which means tomorrow is Sunday, which means … life is good.  ☺
